Painite was discovered in Myanmar in 1950 and for decades there were only two specimens. It is classed as the rarest gemstone in the world and it presents with a wonderful dark pink colour. Around twenty-five specimens have been identified to the day- it is truly a stone for the few. Might this turn out to be one of our high-end new products in the near future?
